MLS Talk Podcast: Sizzlin’ In Silly Season

It’s hot outside in the United States, but MLS is busy and stronger than ever.

On the latest episode of the MLS Talk Podcast, listen to new host Earl Reed and new co-hosts Robert Hay Jr. and Daniel Feuerstein discuss several hot topics from the past week, including: the mid-week game between New York and Chicago, Vancouver’s newest signings, how Toronto is under a resurgence thanks to Paul Mariner, how Portland is still struggling, a preview of next week’s All Star Game and much more.

This is the first episode of a new MLS Podcast team, so we definitely welcome your feedback on the new episode and new team. I’d like to thank previous co-hosts Chris Riordan and Chris Webb for all of their hard work on the MLS Talk Podcast, but I felt it was time for a change. Hopefully you like the new direction. And if you haven’t listened in a while, I certainly would encourage you to give us another listen.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

You missed the greatest story behing the SSFC v.Chelsea
friendly…The City of Seattle celebrated Roger Levesque’s
retirement by officially declaring 7/18/12 as Roger Levesque Day.
When has any other MLS player been given such treatment before ?

    • Earl Reed says:

Thanks for the feedback! We tried to pack a lot into the show, but we did miss out on that subplot. Congrats to Roger on his retirement!

  2. Jared says:

what happened to the last hosts?

    • The Gaffer says:

Chris Riordan and Chris Webb are still around, but I decided I wanted to make a change, to freshen things up. Also, I wanted the new podcast hosts and co-host to be better integrated with the website. And since Earl, Daniel and Robert are the three main writers, it makes total sense.

      Cheers,
      The Gaffer

  3. DMV Sportswire says:

    Feuerstein’s Fire sucks!

  4. Brendan says:

Is there a chance that Chris and Chris will be making appearances
on the show in the future or even starting a new podcast on the
site? I would love to have another soccer podcast to listen to!

    • The Gaffer says:

I’ve offered them the possibility of being on as a guest appearance in the future.

As for podcasts, two is enough to host, manage and maintain (MLS Talk and EPL Talk podcasts) :)

      Cheers,
      The Gaffer

  5. Derek says:

After hearing the third podcast without Chris and Chris I had to go
to the site to find out what the deal was. I have been listening to
the podcast since KK. I have to say that I’m a little disappointed.
Chris W was great and has a lot of knowledge about MLS. Chris R has
passion but would always talk over his cohost. I will continue to
listen but please bring back Chris W talking about the league. And
    this from a Fire fan.
