MLSTalk Podcast: A Breather
It’s hard to believe the month of July has nearly passed. What was once an outlook of fixture congestion from U.S. Open Cup, midweek fixtures, and meaningless friendlies will quickly transform into the doldrums of August. In a similar fashion, the class of the league on July 1 have slipped, with San Jose and Sporting KC struggling to gain results. Meanwhile, the MLS Cup Finalists last season, Houston and Los Angeles, have begun the second half in fine form, and continue to rise the standings.
In this episode of the MajorLeagueSoccerTalk Podcast, Earl Reed and Robert Hay cover the week’s action, not the least of which is the latest in a number of good results for Real Salt Lake. The team also discusses the latest transfers and trades as the transfer window has closed for MLS. The Olympics, CONCACAF Champions League, and even a few of the recent friendlies are mentioned as Earl and Robert find themselves recording on what appears to be a night off in the soccer world. What better time to catch up with the league by kicking back and listening to the MajorLeagueSoccerTalk podcast.
